As the girls' 2nd birthday approaches, I'm reminded how at times they seem like such big girls and other times they still seem like my babies. Here are two examples that highlight the difference:
Big girls - Lily calls me "Mom" now. Not Mommy, only Mom. Shouldn't I be called mommy for at least a few more years? Hopefully it's just a phase.
Babies - Grace has been under the weather this week. Today several times she said to me, "Mommy, hold me in the white chair." We'd sit in the big white chair in the living room, and she just rest on me with her arms wrapped around my neck. After a period ranging from 20 seconds - 5 minutes, she'd say, "I'm all better now," and go play.
And I promise more pictures are coming soon...

Janine,
That was so cute to read the "MOM"-"MOMMY" story. I always felt the same way, but never said anything. I still LOVE being called "MOMMY" and the girls are 14 and 11! Don't worry, it's only a phase!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRACE AND LILY!
Can't believe you girls are already 2- and we only saw you when you were six weeks old.
Love to all from- The Dawson's
