Theme Park O-Rama

Yesterday we went to Sea World with my parents. We have annual passes so this was our fourth or fifth time, but our first time since the Sesame Street Bay of Play opened.

On the teacup-like ride that went way too fast for our liking

And today our family visited Legoland for the first time. A friend gave us two free tickets. If the girls were just a few inches taller there would have been many more ride options for us. We decided four or five is the ideal age for Legoland. Still, it's a pretty cool place and kept us busy for 2 1/2 hours. It was just long enough to tire out the girls and ensure we all could take an afternoon nap.

Ty and the girls on one of the few rides the girls could go on - Lily has her famous "I'm scowling but really happy on the inside" look.

It's hard to tell because of the reflection, but this is lego model of Grand Central Station in NY.

Precious Prayer

Ty prayed with the girls before bed tonight. First he prayed. "Dear God, Thank you for Mommy and Daddy and Gracie and Lily. Amen. " He asked the girls if they wanted to pray. Grace answered, "Yes, I do." (Lately she answers every question with a complete sentence.)

Her prayer went something like this, "Dear God, Thank you for Mommy and Daddy and Lily and Gracie and Lily and Mommy and Lily and Daddy and Lily and Gracie and Mommy and Daddy and Mommy and Gracie." She was stuck in a never-ending cycle so Ty helped her end it with a hearty amen.

So I think we've all been covered in prayer tonight.

Feeding our babies with over-sized waterbottles

Learning about the amazing healing powers of a band-aid

Caught on Camera

A few days ago I was making dinner and overhead the girls singing "Ring Around the Rosie." I grabbed the camera, ran out to the living room and caught them holding hands and spinning in a circle. This was the first time they'd played this game without me. I think Grace initiated and Lily was happy to join in. At the end you can hear Grace say, "Get off of me Lily." They're really starting to make each other laugh a lot!

Overheard at Lunch Today

Grace: What time is it Wilwee (Lily)?
Lily: 22 months
Immediately followed by...
Lily: What time is it Dacee (Gracie)?
Grace: 16 at night

"What time is it?" is a favorite question lately. It may be awhile before they can give accurate answers to that one.

It's been awhile...

We've been busy moving and getting settling into a new house. More on that soon but here are some photos from swimming lessons. Today Grace has been singing one of the songs we sing in class. "Ring around the swimming pool. Our class is really cool. Ashes, ashes, we all blow bubbles."
